Thanks for all of your replies. I would have responded sooner but Google Groups didn't show that anyone responded yet and I found out differently when I viewed this thread.

We are using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 10g. So far the best luck we have had is with Oracle Workbench and converting Access files instead of MS SQL files. The problem we run into though is a lot of the data isn't brought over (sometimes whole tables have no data). I'm thinking this might be due to there being a lot of curreny and memo fields and Oracle doesn't have a currency or memo datatype.

Sorry for being ignorant but what is migration assistant? Is that different and better then the Oracle Workbench for what we are trying to do? Thanks for everyones help so far. Received on Tue Apr 25 2006 - 16:02:33 CDT
