Does Oracle automatically lock an account if the number of user login attempts exceeds the maximum?

In the 3+ hours since you 1st posted this question, you've had plenty of time to have run your own tests to learn the answer.
Please post the results of your tests.

Yes, if you set a maximum for its profile.
