Hi All,

I have installed oracle 10.2.0.2 on Suse Linux 10. I have created 2 oracle_homes (one for ASM and another for database). Also i have created ASM instance and diskgroup for asm but still have to create database.

Now before that i need to apply CPU Patch of April 2007. So i just wanted to know that how to apply the patch to ASM instance as i have already applied the patch to Database home but no need to run catcpu.sql as there is no database but i have already created asm instance so do i need to run @catcpu.sql script after applying the patch.

Please suggest.

Hi,

no need for catcpu for ASM instances just apply the patch to the binaries in the ASM_HOME and that's it.
